About Katrina

I grew up surrounded by property and finance.

My father developed his Banna Avenue property in the seventies. My mum spent years helping hundreds of Griffith locals as a senior tax accountant. It was always the backdrop: the dinner table conversation, the thing our family understood.

What I didn't understand, until I left, was how much better the advice was elsewhere.

When I moved to Sydney, I worked with Chris Bates, one of Australia's top mortgage brokers, and spent years inside an award-winning brokerage learning what genuine mortgage strategy actually looks like. I saw first-hand that regional borrowers were accepting their bank's first offer, not knowing what they were leaving on the table, and assuming sophisticated financial advice simply wasn't for people like them.

I came home to change that.

I'm a CPA-qualified mortgage broker and the founder of Alcove Regional, a broking service built specifically for people living and investing in regional Australia. I have 15+ years across accounting, non-conforming lending and mortgage broking.

I also serve as President of Griffith Women in Business, where I'm focused on closing the financial independence gap for women in our region.

Riverina Finance & Property started as a practical answer to a real problem: there was no easy way to see everything on the market in Griffith without bouncing between a dozen different agency websites. So I built one. It's a free resource for the community, because finding the right home should be the easy part.

I'm a mum to Jesinta, Nickolas and Chloè. I know this town, I know what it costs to live and build a life here, and I'm genuinely invested in helping people in this community make smart financial decisions.
